About the Speakers

TJ Ryan

TJ brings a mix of creative thinking and entrepreneurial production, making the non-traditional happen. With experience in film, technology, events, fabrication and music, he is an expert at transforming brands, tech, and cultural stories into engaging and meaningful experiences.

He has built his expertise over the past decade in New York starting at Droga5 NY and later VICE Media as an Experiential Producer and has since come full circle to work at Droga5 Dublin joining at the start of 2022. TJ is the Creative Innovation Lead on an agile team of product designers and creative technologists that turn innovative ideas into prototypes, products and experiences.

Recently TJ has led campaigns with a focus on sustainability and the use of emerging tech like AI, blockchain, and XR. TJ also serves as a guest lecturer in Experience Design at IADT Dún Laoghaire.

John Moriarty

John Moriarty is a Dublin-based product designer leading the design team and building AI tools at DataRobot, a US-based start-up. DataRobot is an enterprise AI platform that helps a data scientists to build, deploy and manage machine-learning models. It is used by 40% of the Fortune 50 companies, such as BMW, Autodesk and the Boston’s children’s hospital to help make critical business decisions.

Before this, he co-led the Fjord design team in Accenture The Dock and prior to that he worked with HMH and Design Partners.

Eduardo Garcia-Lopez

Eduardo Garcia-Lopez is a multidisciplinary designer with over 15 years of experience in Brand Development, UX/UI, and Creative & Art Direction. He uses data-driven research to inform his solutions, and builds strategic partnerships with other stakeholders that help prioritize scalability, consistency, inclusivity, and accessibility. Guided by a solid understanding of goal-oriented customer experiences, concept development, design systems, and systems thinking, Eduardo brings a unique perspective on design to his work, and is passionate about creating meaningful experiences for users.

He currently works as a Principal Designer for Hubspot as well as being a photographer and AI visual artist.

Robert Boyle

Robert Boyle is Head of Art/Creative Director for BBDO Dublin conceiving original, intriguing and engaging ideas in all media and is one of Ireland’s most consistently awarded creatives. His training and background in graphic and digital design led him to a career in art and creative direction and he’s been working as a creative through the line in Dublin, Melbourne, Dubai and London for the last 18 years and has made his name on campaigns for Dublin Simon Community, The RSA, An Post, Heinz, Audi, Lidl and the Irish Examiner to name a few. He has a number of street art projects undertaken, designed numerous brands and has had his illustration work exhibited. Lately he’s been igniting the agency’s creative approach to AI kicking off with the recently launched ‘Unfair City’ campaign for Dublin Simon.
